In January of 2000, Dr. Allison F. Singer joined Dr. Lori Stetler in the practice of dermatology with Dallas Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics. Dr. Singer sees new patients of all ages with conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. She brought with her an excellent background in the diagnosis and management of skin problems.
In 1991, Dr. Singer received, with honors, her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Tulane University. She then attended The University of Texas Medical School at Houston where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995, graduating with honors and membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical society. She remained in Houston to complete her internship in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Singer then moved to Dallas to train in dermatology at Southwestern Medical School, where she served as chief resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital during her senior year. She finished her training in 1999 and remained on the faculty of Southwestern as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Dermatology for one year prior to joining Dr. Stetler in private practice.
Dr. Singer is active in a number of local and national organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and Dallas Dermatology Society. Dr. Singer has been named one of the “Top Doctors” in Dallas by D-magazine.
Dr. Singer's professional interests include the medical treatment of skin, hair, and nail disorders as well as pediatric and adolescent dermatology. She has additional interest in the prevention and treatment of skin cancers.
Dr. Singer resides in Dallas and enjoys her work as well as her focus on rescue dogs. She remains active in bicycling and weight training.
