One of the newest treatment options on the forefront is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy or FotoFacial treatments. This procedure is a non-invasive treatment that erases skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence, no “downtime”.
This procedure involves directing short pulses of visible light over the skin surface. This light focuses on certain skin imperfections such as age spots and other pigmentation irregularities, small blood vessels and background redness as seen with rosacea, and fine lines. There are other lasers and treatments that focus on these concerns separately however, this is a new option to address all complaints simultaneously.

Before and After FotoFacial Treatment
During the treatment, a cool gel is applied to the area to be treated. The smooth glass surface of the IPL headpiece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are administered.
Depending upon the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual problem, a series of five or six FotoFacial sessions may be required. By dividing the full treatment into several sessions, the procedure provides gradual, long-term improvement with very low risk and with no downtime.
